Medium growing, forming a dense shrub.
Flowers: large (to 11cm) semi-double, with a boss of stamens; imbricated dark red.
Mid season.
Foliage: glossy dark green.
Identifiable in the autumn by its heavy but infertile fruiting.
Slow to flower as a small plant but still perhaps the best 'beginners' red. Very hardy.
