Upright habit, fast growing and throwing long vertical leaders when young.
Flowers: semi-double of a pale pink which is striking in the garden, and with darker veins and notched petals, to 8cm across.
Early to mid season.
Foliage: smallish, dark, and more matt than japonicas.
Very floriferous, extremely easy to root, and a good root stock.
