Unknown origin

An old Yunnan camellia, it is a virus-variegated form of 'Shizitou' ('Lion-Head'). If it carries a heavy infection where there is more white, it is called 'Bamanao' or 'White Cornelian'. Conversely if it only has a light infection, where red predominates it is called 'Hongmanao' or 'Red Cornelian'. These are all regarded as synonyms.
