Camellia x williamsii 'Glenn's Orbit'
Donation seedling
G.H. Johnstone, Trewithen, Cornwall, 1967
H5
AM 1965, AMT 1974, AGM (2002) 2012
Vigorous and upright.
Flowers: medium - slightly smaller than 'Donation';semi-double but to a loose peony form; deep
orchid pink with lighter shades.
Mid season.
Foliage: smallish, mid green and semi-matt.
Stands out because of its clear pink colour with no mauve shades. The flowers shatter very quickly,
the centre falling out after about two days, but it is very floriferous and makes a good landscape camellia.
