Vigorous open habit, spreading in time.
Flowers:large to very large (to 13cm) semi-double to anemone form out of doors; inside, a massive anemone form; deep glowing red.
Foliage: superb large dark green glossy leaves, recurved at the edges with a small acuminate tip.
Mid season.
Said to be scented. The blooms are enormous grown under glass. The plant appears to be hardy outside in the southern UK,
but the blooms are smaller.
