Camellia japonica 'Lady Vansittart'
Very similar to 'Edo-nishiki'
Dense, upright, of moderate vigour.
Flowers: 6 - 9cm, semi-double, with slightly wavy-edged rounded petals in three rows surrounding an irregular centre of stamens, with the occasional petaloid stamen. It is a very unstable flowerer, frequently sporting to plain white, pink or red.
Mid to late.
Foliage: 10 x 4-5cm, sharply and finely serrate, with long pointed tips, often twisted, dark glossy green.
Very free flowering.
