Loose open habit.
Flowers: large (to 10cm) semi-double with conspicuous stamens; turkey red occasionally with white streaks.
Foliage: elliptic shallowly serrate short acuminate glossy dark green leaves.
Mid season.
The name has been wrongly used for both 'Mercury' and 'Apollo'.
