Large shrub or small tree.
Flowers: 10-13 cm across, semi-double or loose peony-form with mid pink wavy petals.
Mid season.
Foliage: 6-8 cm long, 3-4.8 cm wide.
Identifiable in the autumn by its heavy but infertile fruiting.
Slow to flower as a small plant but still perhaps the best 'beginners' red. Very hardy.
