Showa-no-sakae

Camellia hiemalis 'Showa-no-sakae'
Flowers: 6.5-7cm across, loose peony-form, light rose-pink.
Early to mid season.
Leaves: 5.5 x 3.2cm, shiny dark green and markedly serrate.
Habit: bushes are vigorous, spreading and low-growing.
Probably originated as a seedling of 'Shishigashira'. It is very floiferous and makes a good low hedge.
