hybrid between C.sasanqua and C.japonica
, or may possibly be a Japanese or Chinese species.

Vigorous upright but dense habit.
Flowers: 8-10cm across in warm climates, anemone-to peony-form, two-tone rose-pink.
Very early; sometimes even as early as September in southern England.
Foliage: small dark shining leaves to 5 x 2mm.
Very floriferous from an early age.
The All Americas camellia for 1960.
It can be seen in gardens all over the world.
It is reasonably cold hardy and reliable in cooler areas and flowers profusely in U.K. conditions.
