Camellia japonica 'Tricolor'
Also known as 'Seiboldii'
Parentage unknown.
Imported from Japan (where it was called 'Ezo-nishiki') by von Seibold in 1829.
H5
AGM (1993, 2002) 2012
Compact habit.
Flowers: medium semi-double; white with carmine streaks.
Foliage: small dark, glossy leaves.
Mid season.
The Japanese name should have precedence. A well proven and reliable streaked camellia. It is not
uncommon to find considerable variations in the amount and width of the carmine streaking on the same plant.
