A chance seedling from C.'Hiryu'.
Habit: Upright, dense, moderate vigour.
Flowers: 7.5cm across, single, brilliant glowing red petals surrounding tight centre of golden stamens.
In the UK, sometimes for Christmas, though often later.
Foliage: 4.5 x 2.5cm, glossy dark green.
