Upright small to medium tree. Has habit of acuminata but with the side branch network from stellata.
Hardy as raised by Phil Savage in Michigan
Flowers: creamy-yellow, starlike with 14 strap-shaped tepals, opening to 10cm wide.
Late March- April
Leaves: elliptic to ovate, bronze red as they unfurl, turning green, paler underneath as they mature.
