This cultivar has been defined to represent the typical M.x soulangeana seen everywhere in
gardens and in almost every garden centre. There are definitive plants at RHS Wisley and elsewhere.

A small spreading tree
10 year height/spread: 3.5m/4m
Upright goblet shaped flowers open from pink buds to an upright flower, white inside and flushed
purplish pink externally, the outer tepals reflexing slightly to 20cm across just before falling:
mid April.
Foliage: quite variable, but broadly elliptic to obovate, sometimes with an acuminate tip.
Recognise by: the large white flushed pink flowers later than average; the spreading habit.
