Flowers: Solitary open funnel-shaped, single flowers are 47-52mm long ×47-52mm wide, with 5 wavy edged lobes; deep reddish pink to vivid red; light dorsal spotting of strong red

Foliage: Leaves are narrowly elliptic, 30mm long × 10mm wide; glossy; moderate olive green with reddish hairs. Leaves become purple grey-green to bronze in winter. Evergreen
Other Information: Hybridised in Japan but introduced and registered by Polly Hill, North Tisbury, USA. Although the flowers are solitary, their profusion may look as if they are in trusses of more than one. A good rock garden azalea as it will cascade down. Easy to grow; commercially available
