Medium sized shrub

Flowers: Lax trusses of 10-16, broadly funnel-shaped flowers; 40mm long x45-60mm wide; 6-lobed, inside strong to light purplish pink, outside nearly vivid red with a few dark red markings; filaments and styles pink

April- early May

Not scented

Foliage: Elepidote. Leaves are elliptic, up to 115mm long, dark green above, slightly glaucous below

Other Information: One of the oldest hybrids from R. thomsonii. Commercially available
