Rhododendron 'Brass Rubber'
auriculatum X griersonianum
AM 1978
Flowers: 8-9/loose truss, broadly funnel-campanulate, 7 lobed, white, irregularly suffused deep purplish pink;
outside strong purplish red and densely covered with glutinous hairs.
Foliage: narrowly elliptic, up to 150 x 45mm, with a light reddish brown indumentum below.
N.B. The names for these photos from Bodnant match the current label on the plant.
We would welcome it if our more knowledgeable members were to question this name and suggest an alternative.
As we all know, labels can easily move location!
