Flowers: Trusses of 2-4 semi-double flowers with some petaloid stamens on each flower. Flowers are 28-30mm long × 35-40mm wide with 5-8 lobes; strong purplish red, lightly dusted with deep purplish red spots

Foliage: Dark green, oblanceolate leaves; 26-38mm long × 14-22mm wide; glossy above; turning light purple in winter. Evergreen
Other Information: A useful azalea on rockeries or the front of borders as it is so low growing. Unusual flowers and good autumn leaf colour that persists until spring. Easy to grow; commercially available
