Flowers: Trusses of about 5 broadly campanulate, deep red flowers about 75mm wide

Foliage: Elepidote. Leaves are ovate, up to 50mm long x 20mm wide, dull green above with a thin fawn indumentum below

Other information: Does best when grown in a lightly shaded position. Number 69 of the Top 100 Rhododendrons chosen by members of the RCM Group in 2015. Commercially available 

Be careful not to confuse 'Elizabeth' with a form with red leaves registered as 'Elizabeth Red Foliage' raised by E Ostbo in the USA
