Flowers: trusses of about 15 semi double flowers with petaloid stamens. These are a good striking
mauve lavender, much bluer and deeper than the average ponticum with a small greeny brown flair.
May/June.
Convex matt leaves similar to but somewhat broader than ponticum.
Recognise by: the flowers.
A very free flowering tall plant, reliable and unusual, with a good colour. Tolerant of most
conditions. Not invasive.
