Hydon Hunter AGM

Rhododendron 'Hydon Hunter'
yakushimanum x Springbok
(so yakushimanum, griersonianum, ponticum
and unknown).
Hydon 1972
AM 1976, FCC 1979, AGM (1993) 2012
1.5m by 1.5m
10 year height/spread: 1m/1m
Flowers: dome shaped trusses of about 14 frilled,
deep pink flowers which fade paler pink and to
white in the centre, with some orange spotting.
yakushimanum type leaves with no indumentum.
Recognise by: the similarities to yakushimanum
but with long extension growth, making this only a
semi-dwarf; the flower colour.
Easy to root and grow, with nice flower colour,
but not really a dwarf plant.
