Flowers: Trusses of 2-3 funnel-shaped, single flowers. Flowers are about 30mm wide; white, overlaid mauve with mauve pencilled margins with a very faint chestnut eye. The mauve overlaid flower colour fades in sun to leave a white flower with a distinctly pencilled margin

Other Information: R. Irohayama is number 8 of the Wilson 50 collection of azaleas. This is a naturally occurring Kurume azalea hybrid. Suitable for small gardens. Easy to grow but may need some shelter and light shade. Commercially available
