Flowers: 12/truss, openly campanulate, 125mm wide, scarlet red with a few faint darker spots.
Greeny yellow flower buds.
May.
Foliage: 150 x 65mm, leathery dark foliage with a brown indumentum.
10 year height/spread: 1.2m/0.8m.
Recognise by: the leathery dark foliage recurved at the mucronate tip; the full truss of flowers;
Easy to root and flowers young. Best in sun. A tall growing plant which needs pinching when young to ensure a branched habit.
