Flowers: a unique very dark crimson with
darker spots. April.
Foliage: red stems, deeply veined dark
leaves with yellow mid ribs from meddianum sometimes chlorotic.
Recognise by: unmistakable in flower, and
the foliage is quite distinctive.
A wonderful flower colour and truss, but the
plant easily gets leggy and it is best grown
behind lower growing shrubs.
