Flowers: rounded trusses of about 20 spinel red
flowers with faint darker spots rapidly fading in the
throat to near white.
May/June.
Dark leaves similar to but broader than
yakushimanum, with a pale indumentum.
Recognise by: the yakushimanum growth habit
and the flowers; not easy to distinguish.
Easy to grow, free flowering.
