Flowers: rounded trusses of about 10 open rose pink with a paler throat and crimson dorsal spots,
and fade to almost white.
May/June.
Dark leaves similar to yakushimanum but with no indumentum.
Recognise by: the yakushimanum growth habit and the flowers; not easy to distinguish.
Easy to grow, free flowering.
