Flowers: up to 14/ball truss, tubular funnel-shaped, 50 x 65mm, with 5 wavy-edged lobes, strong red in bud,
opening strong purplish pink with a blotch of pale purplish pink and spotting of dark reddish orange;
outside strong purplish red; flower colour fades with age.
Mid May
Foliage: narrowly elliptic, 125 x 50mm, moderate olive green above,
with a moderate amount of dark orange-yellow indumentum below; new growth silvery hairy.
Shrub 0.45 x 0.9m in 10 years.
