Height: shrub 1.5 - 4m

Flowers: white or flushed pink with purple flecks.
April/May.
Introduced: 1917 by Forrest from Yunnan.
Distribution: Yunnan and Sichuan, 3200 - 4300m.
Recognise by: upper leaf surface lightly covered with reddish hairs giving a matt
appearance, lower surface densely covered with rusty red indumentum, salmon when young.
One of the best foliage plants in the genus. Bright indumentum. Superb bronze young growth. Easily grown.
