Flowers: pale smokey blue.

Introduced: 1825 by Wallich from Sikkim (the species).
Distribution: Kashmir, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, 2700 - 4200m.
Recognise by: rounded leaves about 12cm long, lower leaf surface covered
with a smooth fawn indumentum, which is white when young (the species); the
flower colour (the clone).
A neat shrub with very attractive trusses of lavender blue flowers.
