Epithet: after Canon Cruttwell's mother Christian Cruttwell, who went out to New Guinea to work as a missionary..
Flowers: 2-5 flowered, an open umbel, tubular, yellow shading to orange, especially at lobes, and yellow or green on the tube; tube 25-35 x 7-10 x 15-20mm.
May - Oct
Foliage: broadly elliptic or sub-obovate-elliptic, 40-75 x 30-45mm, 3-5 in tight pseudowhorls.
Shrub (lanky) to 3m, terrestrial on precipitous rock faces or cliffs.
Distribution 600 - 1525m):
Papua New Guinea:
Milne Bay district, Daga country; Mt Simpson area, Mt Dayman area
It is the parent of many hybrids.
