10 year height/spread: very variable, perhaps 1m/1.5m
Flowers: white through pink, usually with a crimson basal blotch.
March/April.
Introduced: 1912 by Forrest from W. Yunnan.
Distribution: NE Burma, Yunnan, 2400 - 4000m.
Recognise by: distinctive continuous cinnamon indumentum; pale flowers
with dark blotch in the throat.
A splendid early flowering plant with a superb contrast between the dark
foliage and the flowers. The best forms have a compact neat habit.
