Flowers: pale to deep pink.
May/June.
Introduced: 1908 by Wilson from W.Sichuan.
Distribution: W.Sichuan 2100-3000m.
Recognise by:stiff leaves like 'burnished spears of copper'.
Epithet: 'remarkable'.
A late, free-flowering species with excellent foliage: the best of its
subsection, and easily grown. Should be in every collection.
