Height: shrub 0.1 - 0.2m. Other forms are larger and less hardy.
10 year height/spread: 0.1m/0.2m.
Flowers: trusses of 2-6 lemon yellow unspotted flowers (the clone).
April/May.
Introduced: 1908 (the species).
Distribution: Yakushima (this clone),1800m. Other forms of the species to C.Japan.
Recognise by: dwarf habit; oblanceolate leaves with slight acuminate tips, and the groups of 2-6 widely funnel shaped
triflora-type flowers in yellow.
Epithet: after Keisuke, Japanese botanist.
