Height: 1.2 - 7.5m, a shrub or tree.
Flowers: 3-6 flowers, tubular-campanulate, 75-110mm long, fragrant, white, creamy-white or cream suffused with pink, outside scaly.
April-June.
Leaves: oblong-oval, oblong-obovate or oblong-elliptic, 98-168 x 30-75mm; upper surface bright green or olive-green, matt, bullate, not scaly or scaly; underside glaucous, densely scaly,primary veins thick, markedly raised.
Distribution: NE & N Burma, E Tibet, W & mid-W Yunnan 1850-4000m.
