Height: 2-8m, upright or spreading shrub
10 year height/spread: 2m/2m
Flowers: lax trusses of 5-12 white, occasionally flushed rose, flowers to
5cm, perhaps with crimson spots or blotch.
Introduced: 1918 by Wilson from Taiwan. Collected many times recently.
Distribution: Taiwan, 1650-3500m
Recognise by: less stiff leaves than R.pseudochrysanthum. Floccose
midrib, no indumentum elsewhere.
Best in a sunny sheltered site. Superb trusses of white flowers on one of the
most free flowering species.
