Flowers: 6-12/truss, broadly campanulate or tubular-campanulate, 25 - 40mm long, crimson, unspotted, 5 nectar pouches at base.
April-May.
Foliage: oblanceolate or lanceolate, 40-95 x 9-25mm, upper surface matt, glabrous, or with vestiges of hairs, midrib grooved, hairy with vestiges of hairs, glandular; lower surface somewhat thick, woolly, continuous, brown indumentum.
Distribution: N Yunnan, S Sichuan: 1700 - 3000m
