Flowers: usually pink.
April - May.
Leaves: upper side matt, underside with a woolly white indumentum
Introduced: 1963 to the USA and Scotland.
Recognise by: the white indumentum, startlingly white on young leaves.
The recent introduction Guiz 125 is probably the best and most floriferous form.
