Epithet: Named after Herbert C. Robinson, one time director of the Malay States Museums.
Introduced into cultivation: in 1973 by Mrs Elizabeth Stevens of Guidlford.
Flowers: 5-12 per complete or slightly open umbel, funnel-shaped, 30-35 x 30-35mm, yellow, often flushed with orange or red,
tube c15 x 5-6 x 10-15mm.
Jan - Dec.
Foliage: elliptic, 80-160 x 35-60mm, 3-5 together in loose pseudowhirls.
Shrub to 2.5m, epiphytic on tall trees, especially those overhanging rivers, also terrestrial on rocks by streams.
Distribution (1035-1830m):
Malaysia: (Peninsula),main range from Perak to Selangor.
It grows as a lanky plant and flowers irregularly, usually in the Scottish spring.
