Flowers: trusses of 8-12, tubular-campanulate, 4-6cm long, crimson, scarlet rose-pink or rarely white

Foliage: oblong, lanceolate or oblanceolate, 75-175 x 18-45mm, apex long acuminate, upper surface olive green or dark green, shiny, glabrous, eglandular; lower surface pale green, rather densely setulose, midrib bristly and rather densely tomentose.
Height: shrub 2 to 7m
