Shrub or small tree, 0.6-6m high.
Flowers: 10-15/compact rounded truss, tubular-campanulate, 23-35mm long, crimson or scarlet, 5 deep crimson nectar pouches.

Leaves: subsessile, clustered in whorls on the brnchlets, oblong-obovate, obovate, oblong-elliptic, elliptic or oval, 53-135 x 26-64mm, upper surface dark green, glossy, glabrous, underside pale green, glabrous.
Distribution: Bhutan, Assam. 3000 - 4000m.
