Height: 2- 6m shrub or tree.
Flowers: 8-20/truss, widely campanulate, 50-75mm long, white suffused with pink, rose-pink or deep rose, with crimson spots, without a blotch at the base.
February - April
Leaves: oblong-obovate, oblanceolate or oblong-oval, 90-280 x 30-75mm, upper surface dark green or pale green, matt, glabrous; underside pale green, glabrous, midrib moderately or densely wooly or hairy in itrs entire length.
Distribution: W Hubei, E Sichuan 1400 - 2500m
