Rhododendron tuba
Vireya
Epithet: alluding to the trumpet shaped corolla.
Shrub to 5m.
Flowers: 4-7/open one-sided umbel, 65-80mm, trumpet-shaped, pink with white lobes; tube 55-65 x 5-8mm, weakly curved.
Leaves: 4-5 in tight pseudowhirls, elliptic to broadly elliptic, 40-70 x 25-50mm, scaly on both sides.
Distribution: Papua New Guinea, N side of summit of Mt Dayman. 2500 - 2750m.
